Trees are way too nice in Minecraft, you can punch them, craft them, build them, and nothing bad ever comes of them! They need a chance to fight back! So now they do ;) Now when you destroy a tree sapling, it will come to life and start attacking you. They deal a ton of damage even with diamond armor and run super fast, which means you can't escape them. They each have 200 hearts, so good luck breaking your next tree.
When you finally manage to kill a tree, it will drop a "tree hat", which you can put on your head to actually wear a tree on your head. Not only does this look insanely cool, but it also has a lot of protection making it better than a diamond helmet.
